Remember the black snake fireworks things?

They were made out of Mercury Thiocyanate and that's this stuff too. Apparently they used to release mercury vapours when they burned, so now they're no longer available (i think). Remember too the burning school house? These are just reminders of how "far" our "progress" has taken us. We're so afraid of giving the wrong impression or being politically incorrect. I mean if you were to talk to a kid now about the burning school house fireworks, they wouldn't believe you. "Burning down a school house," they'd say, "there's now way 'they'd' let that happen."
